THE REASON GAS IS DRIPPING OUT IS , THE BIKE MUST HAVE BEEN OVERFILLED WITH GAS AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER CAUSING YOURE CHARCOAL CANISTER TO FILL WITH GAS AND NOW THE CHARCOAL CANISTER WONT VENT TO ATMOSPHERE,MEANING THE CANISTER IS NOW BAD, THIS CAUSES THE TANK TO BUILD TOO MUCH PRESSURE AND DRIBBLE GAS ON YOU. YOU NEED TO REMOVE YOUR SMOG JUNK NOW OR BUY A NEW CHARCOAL CAN.

Well then, I'm sure my canister is bad, along with my gas cap. My cap doesn't relieve pressure probably because it's clogged with debris and I've checked my tank vent hoses and none of them are pinched. Even the dealership said that if my canister has gas in it it will cause this. After riding for about a half hour my bike will sputter and die. After I open the cap, it gets better but still minimal throttle response and more sputtering. I guess I'll have to check the canister. If it's filled, I'm going to do the KLEEN mod to remove the emission crap.

Check the hoses and make sure that the drain hose isn't connected to the vent hose. That will also cause the problem you're describing. And stop overfilling your tank too!)

i dont have a leaking out problem but i get the high pitched whine sometimes, figured it was just pressure venting but i get water in my filler area when i wash my bike with a hose

There is some pressure in the tank and I have heard other guys with 05-06's complain of the noise at the cap. There shouldn't be a vacuum.
