2000 ZX6R Decals?
I recently purchased a Red 2000 ZX6R (got a pretty decent deal I think), 12000 miles, new tires, mircon exhaust - $3300, anyways back to the reason for the post. The kawasaki decal on the right side of the tank is fading (really bad on the k) is there a way to safely remove the whole kawasaki decal without screwing up the paint job?

RE: 2000 ZX6R Decals?
I talked to a guy that has been doing custom paint jobs on motorcycles and hot rods for 15 years. These are his recommendations, first thing he said is they are a pain in the a$$ to get off. Apply a little bit of heat to the sticker but not too much (a blow dryer would work). The corners should start to peel up, slowly pull the sticker off. If there is still residue he said you can use lacquer thinner, but you have too make sure to be very careful with it. If your not it can ruin the paint.

you can't do that on the tank. the decals on the tank are under the clear. you have to live with them the way they are or get the whole tank re=painted...

that does suck. o well. i can live with it. if nothing else i can always just take em off and replace them with new ones (since there not expensive). but would you say it would be safe to take the other ones off (rear ninja, lower side(s) ZX6R)? will the paint be faded noticibly?
