1994 zx6e parts?

RE: 1994 zx6e parts?
you're best bet is to just get the gears new.. i have 2 of the same bike, and am VERY familiar with the trans in them..
iwalked a buddy thrua second gear replacement onhis bike, and he didn't get BOTH gears, and now the whole trans is shot.. they wear in at different rates, and if you just put one new gear in, and have one old one, they'll wear very strangely.
a old gear and an old gear from another bike are going to have vastly different wear patterns on the teeth due to different riding styles, also contributing to accelerate wear.
i know the stealership around here wants $160 for the(countershaft) gear, but it was a while back, so i'm not sure if prices have changed..
if you do get used gears from a bike salvage yard, just be very sure you get both the driver and the driven gears, if not, you'll end up like my boy with a bike that doesn't go anywhere after a few months of riding...
very very carefully inspect the teeth, and the engagement dogs on the side, if they're beveled past 80 degrees or so, move on.. they'll just slip out of place with any axial thrust applied. they're cast, i wanna say they may be case hardened, but that makes them really weak if they're worn past the case, which might (if you're lucky) be maybe .015" thick.
and.. Welcome to KF bro!!!!!!!
good luck and keep us posted!!

Try www.ronayers.com or www.motogrid.com for OEM parts or you can take your chances on ebay.
