is it just me or is the kickstand on the new zx6r's extremely long. the bike is almost upright. i'm scared that it's gonna get knocked over. i think i might buy a new one and hack it up and when i get it just right put it on. silly you should have to do this to a new bike though.

 

hahaha, the 10r is the same way. It sucks if any kind of wind is blowing.

 

This one is supposed to be a direct bolt on replacement that is shorter than stock and solves the problem for 076R.

awesome rraiderr! thanx dude. i called a dealer close to me and he couldn't get the kawi stuff up on the computer. he mentioned just file off the little stop that the kickstand hits to get the angle you want. he said go REALLY slowly to avoid going too far. i thought that was kinda cool from a stealership lol. i called cause i was gonna get a new one and hack it apart and reweld it but i still want an original.

 

Yes your dealer is correct. I have done that and it works well just do not grind away to much and make sure to lube it after you finish.
