guy i work with has new 6r and wanted to know if there are any mods u can do like take out secondary throttle plates like u can on a zx10? or do they make a TRE for zx6r?

 

You cn do the ECU Jumper mod to the 07. Removing the secondary throttle plates may cause a loss in low-mid range power and a lag or flat spot in the mid range. Some people yried that on the 03-06 636's but didn't like it. The ZX10's have more power & torque so are not as affeted by removing the secondary plates. He can try it an re-install them if he doesn't like it. Make sure he removes the throttle bodies or keeps the primary throttle closed just incase he drops a screw in the intake.

 

I have the 06 636 with the secondaries removed. I feel a noticable gain within my low-mid range rpm.. but we also have the #1 tuner in the US, Walter Sprout.
