hey guys i got a questions to ask? i have a guy wanting to race me he just got a 07 GSXR6 and i havemy 05 636 his bike is bone stockmy bike has a KRtuned exhaust and just did looks like integrated tail light& euro flushmount turn signals..hes wanting to race for sum money so thats the only reason im asking u guys. i went on sportrider.com to see what that bike ran in the 1/4 mile. but i guess that wnt matter bcuz we wnt just be racing the 1/4 what do u guys think. can i win?? i cant to many twisties but i love to go in a str8 line and dont ever miss my shifts. let me know ne feed back

 

don't really know the stats on either bike, but i say gear up and have fun[8D]taking it to the local drag strip sounds like the safest thing to do

 

To an extent the bike matters. But in my opinion winning is mostly due to the riders skill. I think you have a chance.

if you are just as good as he is, then yeah you can, just get a good start, this a rider's race

 

i say suit up and run him and represent for kawasaki man, those 636's are fast stock are if u got mods done to yours, nothin to worry about just ride your own ride and try to get out in front of him 1st and shift every gear at 14,000 rpm and u will be fine

 

i feel like i have good shifting skills so thats not my prob i was just wondering about the GSXR performance i feel that my 636 is very fast and with my exhaust just opened it up a whole lot also but i guess we will see...whenever it happens i will defenitlyletu guysknow

 

The 636 will take the GSXR600 especially the newer one. The new 600's focus too much on top-end power so the low-end is well, LOW. If you're going to race 1/4 mile, make sure to get a good holeshot. May want to drop some air pressure in the rear tire. Do you know how to upshift without the clutch? If so do that and get into a full tuck with your but all the way back against the back of the seat. How much money is he talking about racing for.

well i think we will be racing off a roll my be like a 30 mph roll. but he wants to race for a $100 and another guy wants to be me $200....whats wrong with my topend? r u saying that thru the long hual i will get pulled in the topend??
