05 636 TIRE CHANGE
I HAVE A BLUE 05 636 THAT I HAVE PUT 7400 MILES ON THE WITH ORIGINAL BRIDGESTONE TIRES. TODAY I HAD MICHELIN PILOT ROAD TIRES PUT ON BOTH ENDS. THE GUY CHANGING THE TIRES HAD A VERY DIFFICULT TIME GETTING THE BEAD TO POP OUT COMPLETELY. I HAD HIM TO REMOUNT THE TIRES BECAUSE OF THE ROUGH RIDE AND VIBRATION. JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM, OR SHOULD I HAVE STUCK TO THE BRIDGESTONE TIRES?

I can not speak for the pilot road tires, honestly have not heard of those, but I changed form Dunlop 208's to pilot powers and they rock. Very smooth, the 208's were smooth too, and they have exceptional grip. I will not be going back to the 208 for sure.
Did they get the balance right? Sounds like maybe you have a balancing problem. How many weights did they put on each side of the wheel?

It does sound like the tire/tires were not seated all the way. The installer should of noticed the tire runout while balancing the tires! I mount my own tires and some brand tires are harder to seat than others. I always use tire lube to help the tire seat to the wheels. Also some tires take more air pressure to seat. This is where it becomes dangerous. I never heard of a motorcycle wheel exploding from too much air pressure while seating in the tire, but on car and trucks it can happen and will cause injury from flying debri.
Good luck,
Mike

THE TIRES BALANCED OUT ACCORDDING TO BALANCER. THE REAR TIRE RETAINED THE FACTORY WEIGHT AND FRONT TIRE BALANCED WITH NO WEIGHT ADDED AT ALL. SEEMS WIERD TO ME,BUT THE BEAD SEEMED TO BE THE PROBLEM. FELT THE MOST VIBERATION AT 40 MPH AND SMOOTH OUT THE FASTER I WENT. 636 BEST BIKE MADE!

How does the bead look? Is there any obvious cut, bumps on it, or does it push out and deform the tire. You can’t rule out defect or damage during mounting so check it closely.
Still sounds like a balance problem. If you mount a new tire and leave the original weight on it when it goes on the balancer it will be incorrect. Sounds like your tire shop might be the problem. I have never seen a tire balance out with out adding weight or use the existing weight.
I picked up one of mine rears once and it had like 20 weights on it, I asked and they said it just happens sometimes. I said BS and asked them to redo it. After a lot of complaining they did and I watched it being done. It finished with 3 weights on it.
Balancing is actually an easy process that you can do your self at home with the proper equipment. The computer high-speed balancers that the tire shops uses are faster and easier to get the same results.
Go back bro or take it to another shop.
