Default '05 636 front sprocket Q's?

I ride an '05 636 and wanna go +2 in front, anyone ever try that or know if it'll fit? Know if I need a longer chain for that setup? The sales tech didn't know, I could go +1 in front and -3 in back for the same affect w/ the stock chain but I would rather replace one sprocket, it's a little cheaper that way. Let me know if you know anything

I'm trying to mellow out the bike. I use it for commuting and it cuz it's a 6 it vibrates alot @ hwy speeds...good for the girls, not for me! lol I actually got the sprocket yesterday and it fit in the housing and w/ the stock chain. I had to remove one bolt from the sprocket cover, (the one directly to the right of the sprocket) so now there are only 4 bolts holding it on instead of 5. +1, -3 woulda been my next choice if it didn't work, but it did and it was only $25! As always, thanx for the feedback.

+1 in the front OR -3 t the backs hould be max. If you go +1 AND -3 in the back, you will lose too much low-end power and will never be able to pull max RPM in 6th gear. Also, the +1 will most likely correct your speedometer error and put you at a good freeway cruising RPM. Plus you won't have to shorten your chain.

Why did you have to remove the 5th bolt from the sprocket cover? Wat it hittin the sprocket I guess?

yeah ur prolly right about not being able to reach max rpm in 6th but i don't ride that fast, +2 worked with the stock chain too. The 5th bolt on the housing case was very close to the sprocket. It may have cleared, i just decided to leave it out.
