Sound like you'll have a potent 04 636. I have a Race Kit ECU up for sale on ebay if you're interested. It's already programmed and ready to go.
Thought you just got the kit ecu? Ya do not like it?

isnt it just a matter of re-flash on the ecu? i didnt think you needed a whole new ecu to make it "race ready"

Drudging up an old thread but im looking to do this swap too. I have an 03 636r that needs head work so I figured it would be cheaper and better to just 05/06 swap.
A: the 03/04 and 05/06 have different head gaskets so which one do I use?
B: I read on another site that if you do this swap the clearances wont be the same and if you float the valves at all they will hit the pistons. Anyone know about this? I run my bike hard so I need that question answered.
will I be able to run the bike with only the swap or will it need to be retuned? I dont have a pc or anything yet
