Default 01 Zx6r idling issues

Hey guys. I just bought my first bike. She is a beauty. 01 pearl yellow zx6R with 8k miles and in immaculate condition. The bike was basically a garage queen. For the last year she sat in a garage. The bike at first would not even turn on. We sprayed some special stuff into the carbs and got her to fire up. I replaced the plugs, fuel filter and air filter. The more miles she gets on her the better she runs. The only issue is the bike does not want to idle without the choke on. I put some fuel system cleaner in with the tank of gas but I am not sure if that will clean out the jets. I am pretty sure the jets are just clogged a little or something. Does anybody have any suggestions?

so do I need to take the carbs apart? Does this sound like like the more I ride it they will clean out on their own? The more I ride it the better it gets, the power keeps getting better. Anyone know about how much a bike shop would charge to clean the carbs?

Dirty carbs. I called for my bike and the dealer told me $70 p/h and about 4 hours. Ouch.

also check to see if the airfilter needs to be cleaned or replaced, that can cause a idle problem as well

also this fuel system additive I put in fixed the problem. The bike was sitting for a year and just needed to be ridden. The thing idles like a champ now and starts up right away.
