Smile Good oil change procedure.

I had written a quik oil change procedure for Braz, but this one gives you the torque setting for the plug.

step 1 Tools needed? 17mm closed end wrench, or 17mm socket, oil filter removing tool, oil catch pan, oil, and a oil filter OEM part number 16097-0004. Remember left to loosen, right to tighten. Start and warm the engine. Caution the oil might be hot to your fingers and hands.

step 2 Place the oil catch pan under the drain plug loosen and remove the drain plug, allow to drain a few minutes, replace the drain plug, do not over tighten, if you have a torque wrench tighten to 30 N:m or 22 ft-lbs. Place the catch pan under the oil filter.

step 3 Remove with the oil filter wrench, install the new oil filter, make sure you smear a little oil around the o-ring of the new oil filter, screw on and tighten, when the filter stops turning with your hand use the wrench and tighten it about 1/2-3/4 of a turn. Do not over tighten!

step 4 Remove the filler cap, and fill with your favorite oil, do not over fill, use the site glass on the right side of the engine, manual says it holds 4.8 U.S. quarts, no way! put in about 3 3/4 quarts, you can add more if it needs it. Start the engine and look for leaks around the oil filter and the drain plug.

atep 5 Turn off the engine and check the site glass, you may need to add a little more, the level should be at the top mark in the site glass, dispose of the old oil in its proper place.
