RE: need suggestions
I posted a little in your other thread.
Stock suspension is ok for some. Bit harsh and was not able to set my sags with the stock internals for me (177lbs in full leathers).
Before the suspension mods, power wheelies galore that were controllable. Now with the suspension, the front just floats above the pavement. Not one hint of tank slapping yet. Turn in's were real fast with the 190/55 rear tire. A little too much for me, so am using the 190/50 series rear. That and there are not many choices out yet for the 190/55 series rears.
Front brake feel was somewhat mushy feeling to me in stock trim, so added the galfer SB lines, they helped some, then installed some vesrah pads. That really worked. The radial M/C on the 06 works well in stock trim.
First gear is pretty dang tall. A tough one to launch quickly. The rest of the gears blend in well though once moving at 7000rpms. A lot of people have normally went to a 16 tooth CS. Corner entries and mid corner rpms of 7000 rpms minimal keeps the 10r in the powerband in stock condition for good drives out of the corners.
Speedo error is still there and the gauges are clearly visible. At 4000rpm you will notice clip on vibs and foot peg vibs. Pretty numbing. At 11,500rpm in 6th, you should be seeing 186mph, and with a little more throttle you can feel the motor still pulling.
I listed my experiences and add ons to give you an idea that the 10r was not the perfect off the show room ride for me but it will do. lol
