Yep, gotta wait for the $$ to come my way. I know I want R&G based on what I have read from this, and other forums. I don't want the short ones though, gotta have the ones that stick out pretty far. That is next on my list though.

Yeah I have a set of the R&G sliders, and they work well.

I've heard nothing but excellent stuff about the R&G's so that is definitely what I will be ordering. I have seen the Vortex and Phillips Lockhart and they seem so much shorter than the R&G's, almost like they wouldn't hold up as well. I am having difficulty locating any shops here though that sell the R&G, so I will most likely be ordering from the site itself or from a R&G rep on the forums.

That's the right tank protector, but I only paid $14 for it at the bike shop. Not sure if they are cheaper on any other online site, but that is a bit steep IMO.
