Hi all! I picked up a new 08 Black 650R on Saturday. 7700OTD with everything. 5599 plus all their assembly sh*t etc., taxes, etc. I am in the Chicagoland area with snow on the roadways right now, so am having them hold it for a couple of weeks or however long it'll take to thaw the roadways somewhat. I will attach some pics.

I had an 07 KLX250S as my first bike last year. Alot of fun and a great way to learn to ride--in the woods avoiding trees. I was in New Enlgland then but now am in the city-type area, so a road bike is better for me. And the KLX was not good for tollway riding. I can't wait to get her going!

Probably the first mod will be a simple 12V powerport. Somewhere in the dash area (I'll search the forum to see where others may have found a good spot for it). First will be used for my Garmin GPS. I think I'll be getting a smaller tank bag with a clear map window and put the GPS in that clear window. The battery only lasts a couple of hours and I plan to be cruisin this baby as much as possible. I have a feeling I will be leaving the exhaust alone--my truck has Flomaster 40 on it and that already wakes my neighbors. I don't think I have to wake em again with the bike as well!

Being in Chicago, I probably will get heated gloves to extend the riding time, so the port could be used there (I assume they use a standard 12V power port).

Very nice, actually I think Black is becoming my favorite color, or colour to our kawi brothers to the north.

Very nice, I'm looking at an 06 650R with just about 900 miles on it. Welcome!
