Help New07 650R Oil pressure warning light?
I just picked this bike up from Oregon and took it back to Washingtong and the dealer did all the maintenance. Filled the oil new tires all that was needed. I was riding it today and its 72 degrees out. I have only gone 33 miles on it since I have had it. I checked the oil levels andit is between the 2 marks on the side window where it should be. I dont know if this is normal on a bike thats just being broken in. I keep it under 4,000 rpm just like the manual told me to do. My gas tank was squeeling at the top do to the heat and pressure that built up and I opend it and releaved it. So I am thinking maybe my oil pressure did the same due to the heat? But I am not sure. If anyone can help me out with advice on what I need to do let me know?

You may want to check the wire on the sending unit, it maybe loose. You may also have a problem with the sending unit itself, because I have had my bike for almost two years and no problems with riding in the heat.

It has under 500 miles on it then it should be less than one year since it rolled off the showroom floor, no?That means it's still under warranty and any Kawasaki dealer will fix it free of charge.
Could have a bit of sillicone sealant from when it was being built stuck in the switch, I don't know. I wait until it has sat overnight to check my oil level. It takes awhile to settle in this bike.

Don't worry, Mine did that too. Change the oil after your first 20-100 miles and get that break in oil, which like mine is full of moisture, out and should be fine. Mine worried the crap out of me, but it quit. Nothing todo with the connection, has to do with the moisture buildup I'm sure.
