Crashed!
So a week ago I crashed my brand new 650r on the hwy. It was a total freak accident and couldnt do anything to avoid it.
Anyways on to my question..
I have bent forks and a front rim. My question is what forks are out there for an 09 650r or do I have to stay stock?
Also, I have a bent front rim, so i figured i might as well get new chrome rims while i change it out. Any suggestions on where to look for rims online?
Thanks for all the help
Nick

636 forks, yolks, wheel and brakes are an improvement over stock.
I don't believe in freak accidents that can't be avoided. Post what happened and perhaps we can make some suggestions.

well I was driving down the PCH in california and I was traveling at 40 mph. All the cars in front of me were slowing down to stop, so i decided to go around the car directly in front of me. When I did this he hit his brakes harder and a slighty gripped on my front brake and bake brake. when I did this my front wheel locked up and came out from under me. Slammed down on the left side and then popped up and the bike threw me off to the right into the back of a honda. So I was very upset that this guy brake checked me. He even got out of the car an apologized for doing that. He was just trying to scare me he said!
But thats what happened and now I have a bike thats all messed up. aT LEAST IM ALIVE THOUGH!
Hope that gives you a good idea

Not a freak accident then. You started to pull out with insufficient room - the driver's action isn't uncommon - and put yourself into a vulnerable position, then you overbraked and locked the front wheel.
Two common newbie mistakes. Write them off to experience and learn from them.
No real harm done.

As Armstrong hasn't come over all defensive after my comments I'd guess he's one of the ones who'll learn. You might well be part of the other group.
