100 Octane Racing Fuel - Ninja 650R
Ok, the gas station near my place sells 100 octane racing fuel. I want to try it out in my 650R. I only run 93 octane in it now and once accidentally put 87 in (which made it run all sloppy til I killed all the gas in the tank).
The parallel twin is a high compression motor and high compression motors always work better off higher octane (better combustion and prevents detonation).
I am wondering if anybody else has tried this in their 650R or have any concerns about using it?
Let me know. Thanks.

Waste of money. It burns slightly slower than normal gas so there'll be a bit less power, but not enough to notice. YOu need high compression and aggressive ignition advance before you need this. The performance gain comes from the mods. THe high octane only allows you to use the mods without blowing the motor.
If it doesn't pre-ignite with normal fuel (87 PON for the States) you gain nothing from higher octane.
