So Cal group ride, you're invited!!
--Summary--
What: Group Ride
Who's invited: Anyone who can make it near the 5 / 78 / 15 freeways
This will be a relaxed cruise around the BEST riding spots of Southern California (sorry nor cal guys, but the south is where its at). Chris (calamarichris) will be the guide and he'll be chiming pretty soon with more info.
Once again, this is going to be a relaxed ride. A chance to see the other side of So Cal, not whizz by them, so leave your superbikes at home guys. (This is only being posted in 500/250 forums for a reason.)
Chime in if you are in.. we'll work out the day to best fit our time (most likely will be a Sunday, next sunday? but not set in stone).

How about next Sunday (Aug 18)?
For everyone coming south on I-5, let's meet at the Kona Hut in Oceanside (take I- 5 south to the Hwy-78 intersection and turn WEST onto Vista Drive at 8:00.
For you guys and girls coming South on I-15, we can meet at the Park-n-Ride next to the gas station, to the Northwest of the I-15 and Hwy 76 intersection. at 9:00.
And for those of you who can't make it, but would like to see some of the great roads we'll be riding on:
Here is a rough map of the first half of the route. (except of course that we'll be taking the 76 East to meet up with the I-15 people.)
Here is roughly the second half.
Let me know if these times/places work out for you guys. Other bikes are welcome too, as long as you don't turn it into a group-3 trackday session.
Let me know of any changes!

Here is the actual map to the Kona Hut (the start point) in Oceanside.
This forum software sucks. Posting links is difficult and some of the usual functions are not working and it will not let me change the link no matter what I do.

Not hating on anyone. 600's and 1000's are welcome, just leave the competitive/macho/insecure bullcrap at home.
And it's not hating, it's a prejudice and I've seen enough group rides go sour because of competitve/macho/insecure bullcrap. If you feel you must display your riding prowess or would be embarassed if you were the last one up the mountain, the map is provided for you. Please feel free to use it this weekend instead of next Saturday. [Ya whiner ]
Peace!

[:@]#%!*%^&$# yea now you mo foos decide to start riding after I sell my street bike. ****!
Hey you should include the ride into Borrego Springs (Ranchito) the turn off is Montezuma. It has freaking great high speed turns and is about 10 miles long. I sometimes have spent the better part of the day just going up and down that road.
Have fun and ride safe my brothers and if anyone wants to hit the track I am signed up for September 30th at California Speed way
See you at the track

Why do you think we waited until now?
I was beginning to think you'd never sell your bike, but Galen told me not to give up. 'Bout freakin' time!
Montezuma was just resurfaced late last year and it's in GREAT shape, but Borrego is just way too hot in the summer. If it's a cool day and everyone is up for it after Palomar, we'll see.
Peace!
