well i better go get my permit then! how hard are those and how do u study for one?

read the book, take the msf course then read the book again. its mostly common sence questions. easy to get a permit. and depending on how old you are, i think its by age, by taking the msf course you dont have to do the dmv road test.

hey... we recently purchased an ex500 for the girlfriend. why? because she's so short... 5'4" and 115 pounds. she flatfoots on the ex. on the vfr800 she tiptoes and wanted something she felt more in control of sitting at the lights and such. the ex500 is perfect for the smaller rider!

ok im 5'4" and weigh in at 125. i wanna get a bike and learn how to ride but im afraid that because im so short and weigh so little that i might have problems. would i need to lower it or is it two low and how much would it run to lower it? oh and im thinking of getting something from the mid to early 90's any recommendation on what year or are they all the same? thanks guy
I think the 500 would be the perfect bike for you. I am 5'4" as well and I have no problem being flat footed. By the way, my bike is a 94. The 500 has not really changed at all since it was first brought out.

Personally, I think it is the perfect bike to start out on. I've had mine for a year and I'm not bored of it, still lots for me to learn!
