Reserve tank "on the fly"?

RE: Reserve tank "on the fly"?
Practice it a few times with the bike on the centerstand and your feet on the pegs. Get to where you can do it automatically without looking down. Someday you might be riding down the freeway with a large semi directly behind you and suddenly no gas in your tank. In fact, once you've gotten proficient at dry-runs in the garage, I would even practice doing it a few times on the road when there is no traffic and it's safe.
...another of my favorite subtle safety tips is to flicker your brake lights while waiting at stoplights at night when cars approach you from behind.
Peace!
