Default Red and blue marked tubing

I washed my Ninja and noticed that the black fexible tube marked with a red sticker came off of a metal tubing. I since connected it back. The very small clamp was not attached at the right location. I have a 2006 Ninja and when straddling the bike, the flexible tubes are to the left of the coolant resevoir. Where do these two tubes, one marked red and one marked black, go to..i.e. radiator, etc?

Thanks

I don't know off hand, I'd have to hop on my bike and take a look - I'll see what I can do - I'll get back to ya.

I believe they are the emissions tubing. They go to a seperator and carbon canistor and California crap. If you have the emissions stuff on your bike, then DO NOT fill the tank to the top. Leave about at least an inch down from the bottom of the filler tube. If you fill it too high, fluid will get into those tubes and it will run like ****.

Those are emissions tubing, the capture fuel vapor and run it through a carbon cannister. You can fill the tank all the way up to the bottom of the filler neck without a lot of worry about getting fuel into the canisters. Just make sure that you disconnect those tubes BEFORE removing your gas tank. Also plug the tube with the red tape before your move the tank, if you don't the minute you rock that tank to get it off the frame, gas will spill all over the place (or so I've heard[:-]). And it is true that if you get a bunch of fuel in that carbon cannister you will have to replace it becuase the vapors wont burn off properly.
