Radiator Overheat

RE: Radiator Overheat
Do it's normal to have coolant to overflow when you run the engine with the cap removed (to remove air)? I didn't have time to reach a normal temperature like it's write in my clymer manual that the coolant was going out...I just when to know if it's normal? If not what can I do?

RE: Radiator Overheat
I wouldn't run the engine with the radiator cap removed. Close it up, run the engine for a minute or two to circulate the coolant.
Then let it cool back down, re-open the radiator cap, and tap/gently squeeze the rubber lines to free up any residual air bubbles.
Also, have you checked your coolant reservoir? It's the white plastic container up in the left side of your fairing. Once you've bled all the air out of your radiator, make sure the coolant level in your reservoir is between the upper and lower lines.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Peace!

Radiator overheats
Hey i own a 2009 Kawasaki ninja 500r and i to had a problem with radiator fans not kicking on when the thermoswitch was riding the red line i tried the same thing you did added a toggle switch to the fan i failed miserably cause idk electrical but its nothing electrical you need to worry about my fans back on my thermoswitch but fans dont come on still so my nect guess and a buddies well educated guess is the thermostat itself not the radiator nor thermoswitch it may be a different part for your specific year but Kawasaki thermostat part number is #49054-1059 i myself is going to attempt to fix this tomorrow may 6th i think its the majority of the over heating aspect cause if this part here is stuck closed then your fans wont kick on cause no cold coolant is being pumped through the engine and id strongly suggest you do notride your bike untill you try to fix the thermostat if not youll blow or warp the head bend the cams break a seal or even blow the motor and that fix cost about 1500 compared to a 50$ thermostat
