Hi guys, new to this forum, and new to the ninja 500R. I bought a project 98 ninja 500r last summer and I'm just about to get it on the road with the exception of one part. the left handle bar insert is bent and I ned a straight one to pass inspection.

I was hoping that someone had one to part with...if you do please pm me your price and zip/postal code so I can figure out shipping. Thanks.

Were you ever able to get the other parts I UPSed to you?
When you say "handlebar insert", do you mean the bar-end weight? If so, I've got one you can have. If you mean something else, I'm afraid my left handlebar was pretty much destroyed.

Hey Chris,

After three failed attempts, my friend was on spring break, a fourth attempt was made and the package was received. I'll get it this weekend when my friend comes home!

The piece i need is the actual handle bar, it's called the insert for some reason. The riser is fine and the bar end weight is slightly rashed, but i cleaned it up and they are good to go. I tried heating up the bar and bending it back into place, however the threaded insert that bolts the bar to the riser and reinforces to much to bend simply by torch, so I have to get a new one.

If any one has a spare bar lying around let me know, they are the same right and left from 93 and up!
