So i got a 2004 500R and my ignition fuse keeps blowing the moment I turn the key into the on position I've taken the bike apart and found nothing and after putting it back together the bike started fine and ran for a few days before the problem came back. any ideas where this short can be?

My first guess is possibly a bad/corroded connection since you took the ride apart, it started and ran without popping the fuse after you put things back together. Most likely on the battery side. Are there any accessories on this ride?

 

thanks, and no it's bone stock save for aftermarket bar ends but i'll have to take it apart again and take a close look at the connections

 

Do not take it apart, just verify the connections.

 

Double check your ground, as well. Clean, corrosion-free.
