I wrecked my 500 today. Desperate help
I 've been as of now on a 30+ day tour of the mideast. For the past week however I ve been at my brothers place in tennessee. Four hours ago my bike and I ate asphalt as we entered a blind gravel/dirt riden turn out of nowhere. THe damage goes as listed: Upper faring (moderate damage), gas tank;(unrecognizable), Rear turn signels and break light(mia).
My most dire and urgent need however comes from my head light which ceases to function for reasons unknown other than the fact that the left handle bar light controle module was cracked to a point of near dilipidation.
The bulb is fine and I was wondering if in one could help pinpoint the possible causes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have intentions to repair best I can if anyone could find compatable 04 parts that would be awesome.

Nuts, sorry Volvo.
Is the gas tank so badly damaged that it's unrecognizable? Or is the damage barely visible?
You're in luck because I just happen to have a spare left handlebar turn-signal/high-low beam switch. It's completely undamaged and I don't need it since I just bought and installed my new one with hazard lights.
Shoot me your mailing address and I'll send it to you pronto: calamarichris@yahoo.com.
Peace and I hope the rest of your vacation is a safe one. (And glad you're not hurt badly, or at least have enough fingers left to type this message.)

Here's a thought on the rear turn signal brake light etc.... you might think about just replacing them with a Clear Alternatives integrated brake-light/turn signal unit. This would be much much cheaper than getting the stock replacement units and it would look pretty cool as well. I have one installed on mine and I'm pretty happy with the look. I'd say go look at the picture in my public photos...but apparently my pictures and my entire scrapbook got deleted from Kawasaki Forums.....
