Default Ex500 Valves?

Hey there

I need help finding the name ofa company that offers aftermarket valves at good prices, $30 a valve plus shipping does not seem like a good price to me.

However that may just be because I am used to building V8's, where you can get 8 valves for under a hundred.

Thanks in advance.

Is this a '93 or earlier? Or a '94 and later?
You can find these valves dirt-cheap in just about any bike salvage yard and probably in Ebay, particularly if the bike is a 94 and later.
These valves are identical to the valve in Kawasaki's Concours engine, and since both of these bikes have gone unchanged for more than a decade, finding internals is seldom a problem.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Peace!

Default RE: Ex500 Valves?

sorry for not giving backround information, the engine is a 1988 ex500, and when the engine went, it took three valves with it, bent the exhaust so badit had nearly a quarter of an inch gap when "closed". The intake is not so bad but you can tell it is bent because, if you putit in the guide and turn the valve, the open spot turns as thevalve turns. So I need two exhaust valves, and one intake valve. The other intake was not hurt at all, and it laped in really well.

So far in all of my searching, I have only found, exhaust valves at 25 a piece, and intake at 18 a piece, the intake isnot too bad, but the exhaust price is still a little high.
