RE: engine shutdown while riding
Need more info.
Engine dies while you're doing 75mph on the freeway? (Or when you're doing 75mph on the freeway in first gear?)
While you're waiting at a stoplight with the engine idling? (Or when waiting at a stoplight with the engine idling in sixth gear with the clutch out?)
When you're decelerating, approaching a stoplight? (Or when you're decelerating with the bike on its side and the crankcase throwing a shower of sparks and a trail of motoroil?)
Little help?
Peace!

RE: engine shutdown while riding
So if you're going 70, it won't happen?
The next time it happens and you're at the side of the road, open up the fuel cap. If it makes a sucking sound when you pop it open, you have a fueltank vent that is either kinked or blocked.
If that's not it, let us know and we'll try to narrow it down further.
Peace!
