Dragging noise

Dragging noise
So I took the bike out for a little trip the other day and when I got back home, I had to lube my chain. As I'm turning my rear tire, I hear an intermittant dragging noise (kind of like metal on metal). Any other time I lubed my chain, I never heard this noise.
I'm thinking maybe its something to do with the brakes........I don't know. But I haven't really had much time to check it out. Guess I'm just looking for any ideas or suggestions to check it out.
Any ideas?

RE: Dragging noise
sounds like the run-out on you rear rotor is making some contact with your brake pads. If that is the case, don't worry. Most rotors have a little warp to them, and will brush up against the pads every wheel rotation. You might just pull off your caliper anyway to check how much pad you have left.

Usually, that is correct. Place your dial indicator next to the caliper to confirm that.

Check the chain too for proper adjustment to loose and it maybe making some noise as well.
Brake test is easy as just dragging the rear a little while you are turning, if the noise stops then check the pads.
