yup, unless you are purchasing a vehicle from someone you actually know and ride with, there's no guarantee that vehicle is what they say.. no matter what age, sex, appearance, etc.. of the seller is. (unless the mileage is like 'dealership' low)

I bought new, do most of my maintenance.. or lack thereof sometimes... and Ill know whose *** needs kicking when my five-double-o breaks down.

but going back on topic, if you want it to last, cant go wrong with factory recommended. otherwise, do your own thing.

well last night i got up to 971 miles, and i just couldn't wait another 29 miles LOL. I got on the freeway and brought the revs UP! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all about 10,500 rpm. Man that was fun! Now i'm not gonna wind it up like that on a regular basis, but it sure was fun.
