Default RE: blowing off the break in period ftw/ftl

I did manage to keep it around 4K for the first 43 miles.Changed the oil and started driving at a more normal pace. On the next ride I introduced it to 5K. Got off by myself on some empty roads, went up to 5K and did some engine braking. After sitting overnight, went on another ride andslowly worked up to 6K repeated the above process, doing a complete heat cycle between each ride. I'm up to 8K at 200 miles now. No full throttle, no jackrabbit starts, fully warmed up before every ride. Will change the oil again at 600 miles and have the valve adjustment done. Will probably explore 9K after that. Even though I'm technically not sticking with the break-in process, I have to believe my engine will be ok with how i'm treating it.
