If you want a quick/cheap screen mod, spray the inside with semi flat black rustoleum, gives a gloss look on the outsuide of the screen and erases some of the cheeeeeepo look of the stocker. Jim.

i know ppl use night shade spray as well, not sure if it will be okay on this but would think so.... i will check into that once i get the bike.....

these are the gf's two bikes... for the EX we drove to chicago and back, made a 700 dollar cash deal at 3 am in joliet to some sketchy guy that had the bike at not his house, found out later it had at least an extra gallon of fluid (gas) in the crankcase, bunk carbs, bunk petcock, rust everywhere, crossover pipe on headers welded shut...wtf, rust! oh yea, thanks ebay!

but, she loves the bike and after 4 months of work the bike is a great daily rider. you'll see the surachus attached to the new/old headers, quick release pins for the rear side panels, emissions crap removed, we also tried to do a respectable job with the decals... hope it worked. a lot of other work happened too... like chain and sprocket, electrical, etc. oh yeah, you'll see the low profile front turn sigs and the rear brake lite is LED.

 

so I found a tinted windshield screen for $44, plus 11 for shipping - is that a good price for one?
I'm still going to see and maybe I'll just spray it like jjm525.....

jjm525, where would I get this stuff? (semi flat black rustoleum) auto store, home depot??? and did you spray just one layer or more???

 

Also, were do I find the rear fender eliminator as someone mentioned earlier???
and what's the cost on that???

 

Just google fender eliminator, lots of online retailers have them. you can get spray paint anywhere, walmart should have it. But for $55, its a tough choice, I would say if you are planning on reselling it soon dont spray it, and if you wanna keep it, then its your choice.

 

When i got the bike, the guy who owned it before me just used a dremel and cut the fender himself. It actually looks real good.
