Those are Kawasaki mirrors from an '01-'03 ZX6R & ZX9R. Also stock on the current ZZR600.
They stick out more than an inch wider, are a little lower, vibrate less and I think they look far less wonky than the stock mirrors.
They bolt on with no modifications. You can find them in the parts diagrams in http://www.buykawasaki.com/ AND if you want a slightly less expensive aftermarket version (by Targa, I believe.) They vibrate a little more, but they cost less than half what the KHI OEM mirrors do.
And there is an OEM pair on Ebay right now for pretty cheap. Peace!

Sweet! I can't check eBay at work, but I'll start looking for a pair there soonest. I definitely like the way they look much more than the stock 500's. And if they stick out farther, and vibrate less, well that's an added bonus. I've got time to find a pair; we just got about four inches of snow, and it won't be going anywhere till March/April. *sigh*

Man, I envy you guys who live in American Siberia. To us who ride all the time, riding isn't as special.
For you guys, every first ride of Spring is like a rebirth of hope and the whole world is fresh and new.
Those of us who live in the gawdawful deserts of the southwest who ride across hot, arid landscapes every day never get to appreciate riding as much as you.
(I'm being only 20% facetious. I don't envy you guys in the '-embers, but I sure do envy you in April!)
Peace!

Yeah, I sure enjoy the hell out of my seven month riding season, but I'm looking for jobs in my field somewhere a bit further south. In large part so I can ride year round. I only put about 3K miles per year on my bike. Plus there aren't that many choices of roads to ride without making it an overnight affair. We've got some serious drawbacks to riding up here, but I guess I'll take comfort in the fact that we don't take it for granted.

Winter gloves for biking?
I couldn't explain the agony of driving 1100 miles on a semi-faired bike in words, but possibly in animal sounds.
The trip was a successs, taking about 25 hours, which is further illustrating why I didn't get any speeding tickets. The only recurrent problems was finding an effective mean of warming my hands in a 40 degree enviroment plus windchill which puts me well below freezing. Is there actually a way to do this properly. Advice is greatly appreciated.
