Dang, I should have updated this post a long time ago! So yeah, I managed to get the R1 mirrors on the 250R.... LAST YEAR! lol Just forgot to update it here.[]
Instead of trying to use the factory mount brackets on the 250R which will cause a LOT of frustration, I used a flat strip of sheet metal as a backing plate on the inner fairing. Simple enough to do, you may want to find something (Like thin bushings) to center the mirror studs in between the fairing holes to keep the mirrors from moving around. (Although, once you tighten up the nuts against the backing plate, there shouldn't be any problem with the mirrors moving around. Make sure you buy some 6mm jam nuts since they are thinner than a regular 6mm nut. It will allow the upper fairing to go back on much easier. (There is not much space to work with, and standard nuts will push out the fairing a little, making the upper fairing fight you trying to put it back on.)
