Went on the freeway...

Went on the freeway...
..... for the first time. The speedlimit in AZ is 75mph, so I kept the speedo @ 80mph to be on the safe side. The bike felt really stable at those speeds and I didn't get pushed around at all. It was only a little over 5 miles, but since doing it I wouldn't mind riding on the freeway more. Now it's time to check the oil level to make sure it didn't lose any lol.

I hit 115 mph on the 250. That's according to the speedo which is off by around 10%. The engine is amazingly peppy for such a little guy.

Now how would 2-up on the freeway be? I have 2-up'd a lot now with my wife but mostly local stuff nothing over 2 miles. I wonder how it would do on a trip hmmm.

Just watch those crosswinds! An 18-wheeler blows me around pretty good but that's to be expected with only a 300+lb. bike. Best idea is to either keep ahead of them (my preferred method ), or let 'em go by quick.

You get blown around regardless of bikes weight. My Katana is a tank at 465lbs dry it gets blown around just as easy with a 200 lb rider.
Relax and go with the flow, your body and bike will know what to do.

Sounds like some good advice!
