RE: uni pod filter question
yeah, my only problem is that the RPM's drop just fine to about 3k then hang for a sec then drop the rest of the way to idle...Im assuming that is the point where the needle transfers to the PJ/ Pilot air screw settings, so that is where I need to look...Im ordering the spring and o-ring from bike bandit tomorrow.

RE: uni pod filter question
got the idle problem solved, one carb didnt have the spring, washer or o-ring on the pilot air screw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????
threw those parts in yesterday, put both carbs to 2 3/4 out and now she runs like new, idles at around 1000-1200 when warm.
when I bought the bike it did not have a air-filter in it and the carb boots were dis-attatched from the airbox!!! no wonder the bike ran like crap, but I did get it DIRT cheap ($550)

You may want to track down a spring, it keeps that port sealed by pressing on the o-ring. It could cause that cylinder to run different from the other.
If its not bogging then thats good. Ride it for some time to get it good and warm then see where your idle will set at.
If its too rich it will run worse hot.
Id like to put pods on mine but it can cause carb icing, here its so humid that when its under 60 my carbs ice, I dont want to make it worse.

Lucky you...I miss Utah [:'(]
Ill be interesting to see how the bike behaves this fall. I had all sorts of problems with it when I got it, maybe the icing wont be so bad now.
Thats a good deal on your bike, definately worth messing around with. Glad you got it sorted out.
