Which tire should i get,

I am finally replacing the stock (rock-hard) with some new better ones, what would you buy?

BRIDGESTONE BT45 100/90H-16 FRONT $67.61

One of the most popular tires for the EX 250 due to its good grip and handling. Good wet-weather performance, too. Run a search on the board for (many) opinions, and you, too, can join The Church of SportDemontology.

Bridgestone BT45
Sizes: 130/90-16 rear; 100/90-16 front
Always a favorite, due to its good handling and dual tread compound. The center treads are made from a harder rubber, while the sides are softer for cornering. Rain response is excellent.

When it comes time to replace my 250R tires, I am going with the sport demons.

 

Well what kind of riding do you do? And how much?

I commute a lot to and from work and it's a boring ride. So I would go with the tires that will last the longest. So the stock dunlops are great for me. And between the 2 tire choices you gave I would go with the one that will last the longest. But if you only ride a few months out of the year I would go with the Demon Sports.

 

I'd stay away from the Bridgestones. See a previous post about chunking. If you're looking for mileage, I think it's tough to beat the Dunlop 220 rearwith a 208 on the front. I've heard good things about the Pirelli's though. Probably wouldn't go with the Michelins, either; they're good until you hit the edge, and then they will let go on you.

 

yeah i think i have seen that chunking post on the Bridgestones, honesltly i was about ready to order the sport demons but the only thing that stoped me was the dual compound for longer life. this was becasue i live in florida so not many curvy.twisty roads, mainly straight line riding, so the center gets the bulk of the riding but with the stocks i am a) wearing them down to fast, probably by the end of the year i will need new ones, and b) they dont stick, i am afrain to take a turn at any speed because the tire has slipped on me (at first this scared the F-ing S*** out of me)

 

what about metslers have you lookde at them yet

 

you mean like the lasertecs how are they i think mnosbor is the only one i have read that uses them.

 

But only have about 100 miles on them so far. Got too cold too quick and now with the friggin' time change its dark at about 4:30
so by the time I'm off work, little time for any distance. (hate driving at night with the thought of that giant piece of wood in the middle of the road and no time to react!)

 

I don't think you can go wrong either way. I wanted the Demons myself, but when I was looking for them I was told they would be several weeks on backorder. My wheels are still at the powdercoater [:@], but I thought I would have had them back by now so I got the BT45's. The folks over on Ninja250 forum have nothing but good things to say about both the Demon and BT45.
I will put the BT45's on my bike and Pirelli's on my wifes when she is ready for new tires.
Anything has to be considerably better than the OEM Dunlops. What I can't figure out, there are sooooo many Ninja250's on the road, that Michelin does not have a tire for it. I got Michelin Pilot Sports on my killer Kymco Super 9 and Michelin Pilot City's on my wifes Super 9. Michelin makes tires for just about everything, but our 250, lol.
