Tha 100 dolla 250
yes i bought a 2000250 for 100 bucks .. but..... now im having probs.. i had the bike running.. i had to get rid of the old tank bcuz of rust..and yes i rebuild the carbs.. it has new plugs , gas tank, and gas. i bought pod filters (that havent came in yet)and it has a muzzy exhaust. ok now for the prob.. it doesnt want to crank, and if it does ... it runs for 2 secs and quits.. so i have a slight headache... it has fire ... i was thinking do i need back pressure on the carbs?...i dont have my filters yet.. ive been troubleshooting for a week.. and no i dont have the stock airbox... sorry if this is confusing to read im trying just to make sure i included everything...

yes i rode it... but i had to take the carbs back off bc i had to adjust the floats.. the bike was loading up bc the floats werent closing all the way... the carbs when i rebuild them were really bad ... filled with rust from the tank.. but i think it might have something to do with how cold it's been lately.. i dunno?

coulda been some rust left in the lines if you didn't replace them. no, no carb back pressure, they'regravity fed.
got good fuel flow? could be the cold, does the choke work?

I have found my 250 to be very picky about everything. I let it sit for a few weeks once and It would not run right at all. I drained the gas and replaced it with fresh fuel and it ran fine. I had to deal with carb issues for a while before I got it running right to begin with. I had topull the carbs twice, Iinstalled a jet kit, and was told I shouldn't even botherdue to problems that can arrise afterit's put in. I haven't really had any issues like that but if I were you I would get it running on it's own first then install the jet kit and muzzy because they can introduce a whole new set of adjustments and problems. I used the carb cleaning description from www.forums.ninja250.org found here, http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Intake It helped alot for me. I had to clean it twice before it was ok, be sure to used comressed air and carb cleaner to clean out every port, I think that was my issue the first time I cleaned it.
