Give your bike a chance, ride it for the summer and then re-evaluate your position. It won't lose any more value (the largest value-hit was as soon as you drove it away from the dealer)over the next few months as long as you baby it. Motorcycles are expensive to own, a little time will gain you riding experience and wisdom. You might find that it isn't so bad after all. I have friends with larger bikes that tell me all the time they'd enjoy owning my 250 over the long run versus their larger bikes. I have a few friends that have big Harleys, they only ride them to the Hooter's bike night to show them off, then hop on their scooters when they want to ride for fun the rest of the time.

I really2 appreciate all your input guys especially u scootertrog, will give it some thought tonite. Probably gonna keep it for my wife, but i'm still seriously thinking to get a bigger bike.

Anyway got my day off today, went to a Yamaha dealership nearby. That dang manager wont budge with the price on new R6, he wont go acent below than MSRP. So i took off to another dealership, finally seen the new ZX-10. Boy gotta tell u this, that bike is awesome if u seen it and touch it. But after some consideration, i'm not gonna take it cause its just too damn heavy and bulky. So i'm back to square one. Still no decision yet ...

If I ever move to a larger bike than the Ninja250, it'll be either the 650r or ZZR600. The ZX-series just were not comfortable for me to ride very long, too much weight down-forward. All the ZX-series bikes are definately bad-*** bikes, basically street-legal racing machines.

If you think its not enough, i suggest rethinking your riding. If its straight line speed, any squid can do that, but others will testify straight out power just gets old... and gets you in trouble. The ninja is beautiful in twisties and ok on straight aways... If you feel you need more power with few miles under your belt, rethink the way you ride before you end up an organ donor....

Read: Total control
& Twist of the Wrist 2.

The ninja 250 is one of the most forgiving bikes, and the mistakes you've made on it, will end up launching you into an SUV, or out of control on a bigger bike. Forget the american mentality of bigger is better and actually become a better rider... it will pay off when you leave those squids behind, or pass a Truimph Daytona 675 on the track because you are truly a better rider and did the right thing with the ninja.

I dont want to be a bitch here, but is everybody getting the same letter that i got yesterday about brake hose and air clener case? Is it normal for a new bike to have so many recalls here in US?
