Default So my carb now has new jets...

I had to jump up to the stage 3 kit(110 main jets) to keep it from cutting out at cruise and even then im running my needles on the 5th groove (the book says to start on the third). But all i have to say is the change is awesome. i can actually feel it pull decently in 6th all the way to 13K (roughly 95mph). so yeah, now i just need new mufflers and im starting to think about dropping th final drive ratio down and see how much speed i can get out of this little guy...

Think I'm going to get one myself. Since I installed the TBR alum slip on I'm getting a lot of popping on decel and even some when accelerating. You install it yourself? I think I will pay a mechanic to do mine. Tom

Yeah i did my install myself. It wasnt hard at all (though take that for what you will i rebuilt carbs for extra money in High School). But honestly the hardest part about the install with a stock air box will be pulling the air box (i didnt have to so that becouse i have individual air filters) . Once you get to the carbs themselves theres not much to it. If you need e-mail me or something, ill pull my carbs down again so you have some good pics and what not so you can save some cash...

You are an upstanding dude my friend. But no, that won't be necessary. Once upon a time I may have tried it, but at age 52 (impatient and grumpy....and with somewhat shaky hands) I'll let my friend and mechanic do it for me. He's done work for me on my former ZRX1200R's and a '02 SVS650S. Thanks again my friend. Tom
