Default Shaving the seat

Has anyone shave the seat on the pre 08 NINJA 250. My wife new bike that is just a little tall for her. I was just curious if there has been any problems with comfort after the seat has been shaved. I was also wondering how much you can take off the seat.

Pesonally I would not do it. Set the SAG for her weight. Rear shock. If you dont want to do that i would buy a lowering linkage. I would not shave the seat.

Any sugustion on setting the Sag. I not real shure how much it should drop when she sits on the bike.

Get a mesurement with her off the bike then one with her on the bike. Try setting it with about 3" of Sag at first and see it still handles good and she likes it. Watchsettin git too soft as it will really start to mess with the performance. If she is notworried about performance then set it soft where she likes it

So I went to adjust the rear shock and I didn't find any preload adjuster on the rear shock. Am I missing somthing?
