I just got my 06 ninja brand new from the dealership a little over 2 months ago and just clocked over 6,000 miles! All the guys at the dealership are idiots so is there any adjusting or tuning i should do after that much riding on a new bike? (besides oil n filter changes) Thanks

 

I think youre suppose to do a bunch of checkup stuff on the engine and parts at 500 miles or so?

WOW! Your rockers havent' burned up in 6000 miles of no adjustment? That scares me.[]

I hope you at least did the 500 mile valve adjustment. when I checked mine at 500, they were very close to their limits already!

Just a few things I can think of are:

Valve adjustment.
Chain adjustment.
Chain lube
Lubing various cables.
Greasing different pivot points i.e. rear control arm bushings, front steering knuckle.

I'm sure there are many other things I can't think of right now, but for god's sake, check your valves!

 

Really. Yeah i heard that u should check ur valves but ive been riding so much i forgot! it seems to be running fine, the same as it did when i got it but i'll def have them checked.
