Default Racing the Ninja 250

It looks as though the Ninja 250 would make a good entry level race bike..has anyone raced or got info ?

A lot of things matter with this ride actually. What level are you at? What organization do you plan on running it?

You need to look at the class rules before you plan on the 250 from I had seen from my last organization.

Willow Springs (WSMC) would be my choice since I live in California City, which is only 40 mins away. I am a novice (never raced) and would choose a stock class. I can purchase a '06 Ninja 250 for under 3.5k otd, and make it a 'track only' bike. With fork and shock mods, removing all un-nescessary weight etc., it should be a fun, low maintenance, track bike.

I have found that most of the Kawi's have had great durability and see nothing wrong with your choice of Novice rides. This will allow you to start playing and if by some chance you determined that racing was not in your interests, you did not break the bank by trying.

Another aspect of it is this. Racing is an addiction. I got hooked. I chose my first ride as a Novice knowing that racing is what I needed and bought the ride that I thought was the most tweakable and not have to totally revamp the ride to be competitive for the classes that were offered in my last organization. I started with the '90 ZX-7 after selling my '88 Ninja 750.

Looks like I will be seeing you over there sometime soon riding a '90 ZX-7 Probational Expert Number. I am still applying for my number. Looks like a fun series even though it had already started.
