Default R1 mirrors and aftermarket windshield

Ordered the R1 mirrors since they fit the 250 and look great, but the fit is very tight with the stock windshield, and since I have a shield from Mike (gtiv20turbo at ninja250.com) that uses the mirror mount points also, the mirror bolts are not long enough to go through the fairing now. The only thing I could think of was to do a cut out on the windshield (might crack it) or trim down the plastic on the fairing (didn't like that idea either) so I decided to send them back.

Any other mirror ideas besides bar-ends (don't like those)? [:'(] Thanks.

If you're good with a welder, you could tack weld some studs to the ends. Maybe even JB weld it!

I'm more of a duct-tape kinda guy LOL. Anyways I wasn't all that happy that most of the mirror was just a rubber boot instead of all hard plastic.

My R1 mirrors only have asmall rubber boot right at thebase. The rest is hard plastic. I have seen the ones you are talking about. And yeah, they don't look as nice.

Where did you get your mirrors from?
