Default Price gouging

I can get the next blue 08 Ninja 250 at a total cost of $4500.00 which includes tax & prep fee. The bike will be available in two weeks.

The dealer nearer me is $700 cheaper ($3850.00)on total cost, when they get one in.

If you want to ride a new 250R sometime this year, you should probably buy it. Right now the new 250R's are all but impossible to find.

Just my 2 cents.

If (1) you have the money, and (2) it's worth it to you, pay for the sure thing.

I just got mine a couple weeks ago for $3999 out the door. So just depends on how bad you want one and how long you want to wait.

I paid $4,026 OTD for mine in February....I'm happy with that, knowing what I know now about availability of the bike. Oh yeah, mine is GREEN....and break in is now done (not quite according to manual, but good enough for me).

The $700 price differencewouldn't be that bad if the two dealerships were further apart or in different states, but i guess its supply & demand.

I have also been wanting a Big Screen HD TV, and the $700 difference would go a long way towards buying one of those plusbeing able to buy themotorcycle.

It all depends on what's most important to you. If you want the bike now, you're gonna pay for it. If the TV is more important, then you are going to be waiting on the bike. It's all about your priorities, and that's really something you are going to have to decide on your own. If it were me, I'd get the bike first... but then again, I'm about as impatient as they come.

Burbank (SoCal) Kawasaki wants $5000 (7600 otd) lol. I first called to ask what if they had any in stock and the receptionistsaid they have one but couldn't tell mewhat colorand that I had go come in. I get there and saw that she was about 4ft away from a 250... Had a Post-It that said SOLD on it, and the saleswoman said it's "pending" for someone else and if I wanted it she can sell it to me right now. sheesh.

How does the price go from $5,000 to $7,600 otd? That's a hell ofa dealer prep fee! Bean, I wouldn't go anywhere NEAR that dealership EVER!
