Pics and a question or two
First here are some pics of my bike..I know everyone knows what they look like..but damn it, this one is mine and I love it!
\
Haven't had the time I want to ride it, had my wisdom teeth pulled out on monday(OUCH!!) so I have been laid up in bed browsing the web for accessories that I want for it. I had a question as a new rider that I was hoping somebody could give me insight on. I've only gotten just over 100 miles on it so far, I know the break in 500 miles, but what do I do when I hit 500? This is my VERY first bike and I really would be upset if messed it up because I didn't know what to do. I figure I could just take it to the dealer and let them take care of it, but I'm an aircraft mechanic in the Army, so I kinda like to do stuff myself.

RE: Pics and a question or two
since you're not riding read your manual and familiarize yourself with the bike. if you scroll down to some old post you'll find a link on how to properly break in a new engine (bike).
good luck! always wear your protective gear.

Hey man I don't think I gave you an official welcome, so......welcome. Oh and have you taken the MSF class yet? Forget about the bike, think about yourself first. And if I remember right I think I heard that if you are in the military, they almost require it. Its a good class, it can save your life. Good luck man, and be careful out there.

Every time I see somebody's new '08 250R, I get so envious! They look so gorgeous compared to the old models like mine. Just make sure to take it slow, and don't do anything over your riding abilities.

Yeah...the manual....Did I mention I bought the bike from a guy in my unit? No manual has appeared, I better get with him about that! Oh and Dillion, I'm a 15D, Aircraft Powertrain Mechanic. I work on all the rotary wing aircraft in the Army's inventory.

The 08's are almost a totally new bike and those fairings aint bad neither, run it beside a ZX-6 and you wouldn't be able to tell the 1.5 inch length diff.
