passing power?

passing power?
You know those types of drivers who go 45 to 50 in a 55mph one lane road, and when you try and pass them, they gun it so you cant?
How well do you think a 250 can do when trying to pass these types of people , if they had the normal cars, not sportcars or supercars?

RE: passing power?
I'd say about 70-80% of the vehicles on four wheels will be slower than a 250R. But passing power starts to become a problem above 80mph. Now, if I were to try and pass a driver only to have them gun it at the same time, I'd probably let them win. It's not worth it to have some a-hole with road rage directing his/her anger at you. On a bike (especially the 250R), you are much more vulnerable to these people's actions. When I had the 750 though, I didn't worry so much about aggressive a-holes since I could quickly get myself out, and far away from a bad situation. (Not that I ever had to.)

RE: passing power?
I live on a road that tends to scare 4 wheel things with all the curves so cars regularly go 5 under. Just get up on the car spinning 7K as thats where these engines start to make power then wide open and spin it to 12K or 13K before you shift, its fun its loud and its seriously about the only way to pass people effectively on a 250. But if the person starts playing with you, just let them go for it. I have run into that and actually just pulled over. Its not worth it to try and tango with a 4K+lbs car on a 300lbs bike...
