Default P-ring set, what??

What is the difference between these two???? I noticed the schematic also has two different kinds of pistons, Std. and L, O/S,.0.50. Need new rings, oil + bad rings = lots of carbon! Just wanna know what to get and if these include compression and oil rings.

13008
Ring-Set-Piston,Std (superceed: 13008-0025)

13025
Ring-Set-Piston L,O/S,0.50 (superceed: 13025-0010)

You need to get the manual and supplement I wouldnt do anything like that without it. The info should be in one or both of them so you need both.

The supplement covers any changes after 1987? (the second production yr)

All the specs and how to read the old parts to find the correct new parts are in one or the other. Crack open the manual and have a look, youll see.

You dont want anyone trying to walk you through it. Not many have been in the engine in the first place and then they made different parts for the same years so you have to look it up. .

BTW if you are using a digital version of the manual you could be headed for disaster. There are pages/parts missing from them. Plus I just find them a PITA to find anything in them.

Nah I have a book, but I'm still lost as to what I should be looking for. Should I be looking for a part number for them???

I looked in both books, I dont find any reference. You will need the suppement for specs/tolerances though it looks like they were changed.

I would call the dealer and see if the parts guy cant shed some light on the difference. It doesnt corelate with the non US versions that I can tell either.

What a pisser [:@]
