Got my 09 Ninja 250 in early December, but bad weather has prevented me from getting to ride.

I've looked around this forum for a few months waiting on my 08 Ninja, but time ran out on the 08, but got the second 09 my dealer received.

I'm 47 & have been riding larger bikes for about 30 years, and really just wanted something smaller to ride to work & around town. I have 60 miles on it so far & have it enjoyed that riding time, just getting a lot of rain since I've had it, should have known that would end our drought.

I picked up my new '09 Jan 9. When I was a teen I rode triumph's, last year I used a buddy's Vulcan. I wanted something smaller, and wanted it for a work bike. I lost my dad on a bike accident 20 years ago, so it took some convincing to get my wife to let me get one, but now I'm 52 miles into break in, and I think she feels better. With the MSF course and license done last summer, and not running like a banshee, I think she will eventually see the wisdon of my bike choice. Maybe in a couple of years when I have become a more experienced rider I will want a bigger bike, but for now the 250R is so nice to run. I simply love it.

The economy must be bad, was by my dealer yesterday & they had 2 new Ninja 250s in with no buyers at the moment.
