Hey all,
I live in the Chicago burbs and i'm buying a 250 today. Last weekend I took a course with Ride Chicago and took the state test this past Wednesday. I GOT MY LICENSE!!!! I haven't rode in a while, but like they say, "it's just like riding a bike". Funny thing is, my wife has become hooked on sportbikes. I originally was going to buy a cruiser, but now that she wants a bike, the affordability really comes into play. The bike I buy today will actually be hers and i'll get a 500 when she gets her M license. Any suggestions on the transaction at the dealer would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on getting your license!! Make sure you post some pics of the 250 after you get it! What color are you planning on getting?
Sorry no suggestions for dealing with the dealer - I bought my bike used.

Welcome !!
Can't help ya a lot on the dealer issue..Our dealer here in our small town are mostly old friends...Anyway, I would think you should approach a bike dealer like u would normally approach a car dealer..The F & I is going to hold a couple of points, to put on the back end, they are not going to negotiate on the price easily, so get them to throw in at least a helmet!! Just do your research b4 you go...Are you paying ten g's for an 8 g bike, that kinda stuff you know..I would want to meet the parts guys and the service guys..get a tour thru the shop..is it dirty? Are the dry humping somebody's bike?? that kinda stuff ya know...
