i've wrecked pretty hard too but i was protected well enough to not get anything but a little scar.

the first big wreck i seen was when a buddy called because his riding partner lost it in a turn at 60. we had to go out there and scrape him and the bike off the highway, he was beat up pretty bad (no hospital tho) and i had to almost carry him to the truck. it's rough and i'm still skiddish in turns because of it. i haven't really learned to trust my bike much yet tho.

well the wound is starting to heal up. its still hard to bend my knee and i can walk around for a longer time. i contacted the insurance ppl and they have been pretty good so far. i took my bike to the dealer and they will b looking at it on friday. depending wat the estimate is, the insurance company will pay for the damage or the value. here are some pics that you guys were requesting. the wound is after 3 days that the accident happened. i didnt get good enough lighting on the damage on the bike but u guys get the idea. all the damage is on the left side. the fairings need to be replaced, the handle bar and shift lever bent, and there is a crack under the passenger seat. thats just wats noticable, there might b more damage underneath the fairing.

Oh man - that knee looks hit! OUCH! I hope you heal up quickly - keep that thing clean.

And what a beautiful bike - shame to see it smashed up. Well, hang in there. Crashing happens to nearly everyone that rides. Learn from it, ride to your ability, gear up, and get back on the horse - there's too much fun to be had from riding.

read Twist of the Wrist 2 and total control.

You had a SR, survival reaction. Reactions like letting off throttle, or braking and locking can cause crashes, and you have to train yourself to avoid them..

Please take my advice, and become a better rider by understanding the priciples involved.
